Like many law firms our size, Rodi Pollock recruits associate attorneys
on an as-needed basis to ensure that any new associate will receive
a sufficiency of quality work in the practice area for which he
or she has been employed. We welcome applications from third year
law students, but we also hire attorneys laterally from other firms
to address specific hiring needs and expertise required for the
development of the firm's practice.
Rodi Pollock is committed to increasing the number and diversity
in our attorney ranks as part of an overall plan to expand the areas
of our practice and the demographic communities we strive to serve.
We fully understand that the future of any law firm reposes in the
talents and energy of its junior lawyers as they progress into a
more senior status. We are therefore committed to attracting and
retaining young lawyers who will carry on the firm's tradition of
professional excellence.
Toward that goal Rodi Pollock seeks to attract the best-qualified
law student and lawyer candidates with demonstrated academic/professional
achievement and the motivation to excel. We evaluate junior lawyer
candidates based on experience, law school grades and awards, law
review or other legal writing experience, judicial clerkships and
personal recommendations from faculty, judges and other lawyers.
Above all, we want our associate lawyers to demonstrate the potential
to grow into the practice and become an ever more productive member
of the firm.
In its long range goal to increase in size and capability, Rodi
Pollock also tries to identify and attract more senior lawyers who
offer new specialties that integrate well into the existing firm
practices and bring to the firm a new client base that we can cross-market
with our existing practice groups. A firm of our size can often
more easily set its professional goals, and the addition of other
legal specialties is one means for doing so.
