We represent owners, developers and financial institutions in site acquisition, project finance, entitlements, planningand construction of retail, commercial and industrial projects. We provide legal services to institutional and non-institutional owners of commercial and multi-family residential properties in issues pertaining to ownership, operation and management (including leases, financing and commercial unlawful detainer actions). We represent clients in purchase, sale and finance transactions of improved and unimproved real property including tax deferred exchanges (simultaneous and deferred) under Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code and other sophisticated tax motivated real estate transactions. The Firm routinely handles environmental due diligence and compliance, title policy selection, review and analysis and disputes and counseling with respect to title insurance issues. In addition, the Firm has substantial experience in real estate workouts and judicial and non-judicial foreclosure.
